AEMTL - The reference for Timorese women entrepreneurs
Since its inception, AEMTL has strived to be a reference as a women's organization in the business sector, working to advocate for greater participation of women in the country's economic life. The challenges have been numerous, both internal and external, but the greatest of all is mindset.

In fact, with much advocacy, empowerment, promotion, and socialization, supported by well-established values of assertiveness, and strong and firm leadership, it has been possible to gain the trust of partners and significantly change the existing mindset, both among the members themselves and in the perception of external entities regarding AEMTL's role.

Today, AEMTL is a respected and strong organization, composed of strong women determined to continue breaking the 'status quo' and striving for a more inclusive, participatory, and productive Timor-Leste.

Where speeches were once filled with regret, now AEMTL members' speeches focus more on seeking investment, cooperation, taking risks, and finding solutions. The mindset of "Doing" is growing stronger, rather than just being a "Middlewoman," and of having "Ownership" and reinvesting instead of "Earning to Consume."

With more confident businesswomen, resilient in overcoming challenges and driven by a stronger cooperative force, AEMTL's businesswomen are ready to embrace new challenges with clarity, innovation, creativity, and financial acumen in managing their investments.

The decreasing dependence on public projects is becoming increasingly visible. The 30% quota reserved for women in the public procurement process is an achievement to which AEMTL has contributed immensely and will stand out for its quality, innovation, and economic sustainability. AEMTL aims for well-done works that are durable and cost-effective.

AEMTL believes it has established solid foundations so that future leaders can consolidate, develop, and elevate AEMTL even further for the benefit of all who are "sheltered" within the association and for a fairer and more prosperous society..
